Aluminum Windshield Frame

The windshield on my B20 Bahia Mar is in need of some TLC.

I have a few options and most likely I will have the glass put into a new frame built from extruded aluminum.

I have it in my garage, and all the fasteners are frozen (corroded) and I actually started to bend the screwdriver and nothing is budging. I do not have corrosion X with me but have put WD40 on several times.

Do I need to find the corrosion X in a box or will the WD40 work with some time?

Actually rendered chicken fat out performs WD40....

Corrosion-X and heat will work 99% of the time. One of my neighbors had a piece of antique machinery that was frozen solid. He rounded the hex head on one part, broke a cheap open end wrench on another element and he soaked it all for days in WD40, all to no avail.

He finally broke down and brought me the unit. In under 10 minutes every nut, bolt, and gear was apart and laid out. Propane torch & Corrosion-X works damned near every time...

AND, you don't have to get the parts all that hot; about 250 - 300 degrees is usually enough to get the metal expanding and contracting, the C-X to soak down and create a lubricant film between elements.

The problem with WD 40 is that it does not lubricate. I believe it is kerosene based. Cleans great, displaces water, but does not lubricate.

I don't know if Bruce has any CX left if he doesn't, I have bought it a Boat Owners Warehouse in Riviera Beach you might want to call them and see if they have any. I don't know about shipping to Canada I think it's considered a hazardous material.
I have used it for years since UV introduced it to us at the flop house in 2000 or 2001. Can't live without out it, CX is like a liquid can opener compared to WD-40 which is a great lube but don't work on corroded parts.

Found spray corrosion x at a local auto parts.

Sprayed, waited and was able to take the wings off.

Crated up and ready to ship out for rebuild.
