I think it was the first Mid Atlantic Rendezvous in Atlantic City. Marine Max had a few boats for show/sale/demo. As a sponsor of the rendezvous, they put up some Bertram items as raffle prizes, including a few flags. Alas, I did not win one in the raffle, but, the Captain of the 57 footer, that I had the privilege of a not so short demo ride earlier that day, asked me how I was enjoying my weekend. I answered him that the ride on his boat, and being there with my boat was awesome, and that the only other thing that would have made it a perfect weekend was if I could have won one of those flags in the raffle. He told me to stop by his boat before departing for home the next day... and the rest is history.

Tony,
not only was the van telling me, but my mechanic of 35 years told me the same thing... and that was before I shelled out another $800, 2 weeks before I let her go.
