Calling Tommy Drake....In Memory of the Late Great Uncle Vic

Post by Terry Frank »

First we make a roux..........

Last Weekend, my son "LDS, Lucky Dumb Shit" as dubbed by Vic did a nice thing and had tribute banners made in UV's memory. His vision for these banners was to have them fly at each and every Bertram Rendezvous this year; signed by all in attendance that knew Vic and then eventually at the UVI or other date sent to the camp to be retired. I know one of the two will hang in my garage for years unless Captain Patrick requests the unsigned version, the signed one has to go to rest at the camp with Vic's family. Unfortunately, I have no great pictures of the banner hanging from the bridge but I know Tommy took a few good ones with is iPad along with a few taken of the group as a whole.

I request that Tommy post these images on this thread so that all can be part of the great moment made this past weekend.

Moving forward, Walter K I hope you will fly the banner at the NE rendezvous and if the mid-atlantic takes place this year I hope for a friend of Vic's to step forward and fly the banner. Please send mailing addresses so I can insure that the banner makes a full circle from " sunrise to sunset"!

We Will Miss You Uncle Vic,
Terry and Chris "LDS" Frank

Patrick, thanks for posting the photos that I sent you, and for getting our site back up and running.

Terry and Chris, the banner was a great idea and a fitting tribute to our dear friend, Vic. Thank you so much for putting that together. The NC Rendezvous was a great event once again, and Uncle Vic was definitely present in spirit!

Maybe something should be sent to TSL to hang in the bar.

I am sure like all I stared at the pics but what got my attention in the pic is the yellow lab and the expression. You can not fool a dog they just know.
UV have a clear and save me a spot

I have found that life can be short. Hope I am not late?
