v-berth hatch

i am trying to replace the hinge on the v-berth overhead hatch. the ones that was on there are gone ,does anyone have a pic or info on what kind they are ???are they just a plain butt hinge ?????or will a piano hinge work ???any help out there ???

Phil,

I've got the whole hatch assembly, but if all you need is hinges, piano hinges are what you want...

capt. pat are those hinges pop- riveted on or screwed onto the hatch ?

The hatch is 3/4" wood, painted white & hinges screwed in. Teak drop trim on the front edge.

mine is all fiberglass,has a rolled lip which is glass also, no wood that i can tell..no wood trim nowhere.

my hinges are thru bolted---as the heads are exposed on the deck--i had hatch sand painted to not make them as obvious

Capt Pat is talking about the companionway hatch. Are you talking about the companionway or the deck hatch?

Mis-interpreted your needs...

2 standard SS butt hinges with machine screws, cap nuts & lock washers.
