Sandbox fundraiser is on
OK Faithful, we enjoy this place at lot, and support it with our financial contributions to Capt. Patrick to keep it going, no dues, for free.
Sit back and just think about the friends you have made here, the free advice from the people that really know that you have gotten here, the deals of people giving you stuff, our events, and on and on.
This is a special place with some very special people from all over.
It is time to raise some money to keep it free and open to all, and to thank our Noble Leader, the Old Fart, Capt. Patrick for making all this possible. I have offered to chip in the profits from my CX sales until the first of the year, and even tho I'm selling the stuff too cheap to the Faithful, I'd guess I can chip in $500 right now for a starter. As I mentioned earlier, some of you guys have overpaid your CX invoices with instructions that the overpay go to The Old Fart. That's the kind of people that visit here.
So you Lurkers, now is the time to pony up, and the rest of the Faithful too. I'm looking for a donation of $100 from everyone. B31.com is not a banking entity or a foundation. Just make your persoanl check out to "Patrick McCrary" and drop it in the mail to him. I think the address is on the header, but I'd ask The Old Fart to attach it to this thread.
Those of you that are in to support us, please post up a simple "I'm in" under this post. If you want to remain a lurker, just send the check. If you would rather stay a lurker and want a confidential word to get to Capt. Patrick that you are a supporter, you can email me here at home, royvictor@cox.net or at the office, VLR@RKKDLAW.COM, or call me at the office, 800 260 9908. Your confidential request will be honored, after all I'm a lawyer and know (at least used to know, now forgot) where a few murder weapons were dumped 30+ year ago.....
Thank you all for your friendship, advice, and the laughs we have had here, all becasue Capt. Patrick brought us together. I hope this is the longest thread we have ever had.
Respectfully,
Vic Roy, a/k/a Uncle Vic or just "UV"

I'm fairly certain that for big chicks, you've got to get in touch with richy rich, aka Dug. But he does seem to have turned over a new leaf with the upgrade, though what she see's in him baffels even kathi, and she's got a high tolerence level for the "what the F**K was I thinking" as in thats what she thinks whenever I'm around.
Oh, my bad you said big check, not chick. Call Andre, he's flush from this insurance season.

Charlie, all I want is the bag. Really cool bag everyone. Doug brought his when he visited. Kept rubbing my nose in the fact that it was such a cool bag. Will a picture do?? got a 20 in my yard, STILL. tow it down, launch it and watch it sink. It is jersey, probably no one would notice the mess.I really want that bag.

Thanks again U.V. for the reminder shot in the shorts. It's in the mail.
Moved my first post-surgical appointment up two weeks since I was not dancing in the aisles yet. The saw bones (literally in my case) reminded me that I did not have major surgery on the 13th of NOV but two major surgeries. He told me to quit bitching and dance the steps I could. Then he took my favorite drugs away and sent me home.
I do love him, I really do.
Bless you, as always, Capt Pat for bringing all of this insanity into my otherwise crazy life. Normal is for people who can't be anything else.

Well Faithful, I see that 711 people have viewed this fundraising thread, and a huge number have responded with financial support.
Sure, we banter around here with our friends (any of the Faithful are our friends), but when someone asks a real question, there is always a serious and professional answer, and the depth of knowledge and experience that forms the answer is always just amazing to me.
So with that said, any of you on the fence that may feel you would offend The Ole Fart by sending less than my requested $100, just rest easy. Some will do more, and many can only do what they can. If you really think this sandbox is worth keeping, pull out your checkbook and wirte one for $10, or whatever, or just wrap up a $20 bill and send it to Patrick.
You can put up a post of "I'm in" with any amount, now just do it - let's see how wide this brotherhood really is.....
