Maybe a rubrail down hull is the answer. The image of the FBC/Sportfish is seen everywhere......I could go with a Bahia, but then again, I have a Bahia.
How did we line up the sponsors ?

Since we've already been to greenport, i think a picture on the shirts should show that to some extent.
I think this photo from last year's gathering, could somehow make it onto the shirts......
and yes, Brewster's boat is in the picture!!

I just recently made contact with someone that does shirts.
I can look into possibilities right after the weekend. I just need some info such as ..

How many shirts were ordered last year
breakdown of sizes
and what last year's total order cost.

This way I have an idea of what I'm talking about when I go to see these people,
and find out whether they are giving me a deal or the shaft as far as pricing goes.

Spoke with Jeff Goubeaud again this afternoon. The weekends of July 30-31, August 6-7 and August 13-14 are all free at this time. Rates would be the same as last year. The end of July sounds good to me, but I don't know what prior commitments others may have. Can we get a consensus so as to nail down the dates?

Harv,

Although we have had the shirts printed elsewhere in the past, I used a vendor in Ft. Lauderdale when I did shirts.

I did that for one specific reason.

They are licensed to use the Bertram logo. No copywrite infringment issue.

It is called Creative Shirts international. I am happy to share the contact info, though I don't have it on me right now.

They did great work, and were easy, reasonable, and best of all, licensed.

Is there a special group "code" to be used when reserving ?
Is there a "better than transient" rate for the group ?

thanks

Do wives go to these events? I'm thinking we fly up, meet the faithful and check out the Hamptons. But my wife wants to know if she'll be the only wife attending.

Brew since you are in the seafood biz (or any NY/NJ folks). Did you ever go to a restaurant on the Jersey shore called Morts Port Seafood Bar, maybe in Neptune NJ? Mort was our neighbor in the 70's in Palm Beach County. He retired and sold the restaurant, moved to FL and just fished and cooked seafood. Had a smoker that wafted smoke into our house daily. But he brought over food all the time so my mom wouldn't bitch about the smoke is my guess. He could fillet a fish faster than you could blink and leave zero meat on the bones. He would fish all night and come in late with trash cans full of snapper & grouper. If he didn't come in my dad would radio and head out in the middle of the night to tow him in on at least one occasion. Just wondering if anyone ever went to the restaurant back in the day or possibly knew him, although you'd have to be about 90 or more now. Sorry for the hijack.

Fly into Islip if you can, only 59 miles to Greenport... Only other options are Kennedy or LaGuardia, both at the opposite end of LI from Greenport.
