what is the best chemical to use to clean the west system pumps with ? i need to change hardners and only have 1 pump for it ??going from fast to slow hardner ..

Acetone will work, but denatured alcohol would be best...

I believe there are different pumps for the slow & fast hardner. The cap size on the cans will be different sizes. The pump kits come with 2 pumps for the hardner, make sure you use the right one or you will get failure. I'm speaking from experience.

fixing to epoxy all the pieces together for the new helm pod with west system,which fillets is the best to use ??? can i just add some cabosil to it or just straight epoxy? i also want to seal it really good before i primer and paint it .how many coats of west do i need to apply and with any fillets or just straight epoxy ???

Reading from the instruction sheet that came with the newest set of pumps I bought, Group A is the smaller cans, Group B is the next larger size. These containers accept the same size caps, the difference is in the length of the extension tubes. One pump is used for 205 (fast) and 206 ("normal") hardeners. The larger capacity pump is for 207 (clear coat applications) and 209 hardeners. The 209 cures at higher temperatures, and is also the slowest. In addition to the larger pump capacity, 207/209 resins come in a proportionately larger container.
