My in-laws neighbor owns a farm here in NJ and in Georgia. He told me that right now there is a large corn surplus and there has been a big drop in grain prices, they are only selling grain and corn right now to cover farming costs.
So while ethanol drove up the prices early on, the economy has taken some of the prices down at least for the farmers.
The consumer, now that's another story. When this economy recovers, watch out, prices will go through the roof again.
