Latest news from Cape Town.
A buddy of mine recently landed a 935 lb blue marlin on 80 lb tuna standup tackle. There was a pretty good tuna bite going on and Trevor hooked up to a 30 - 40 lb Yellowfin using a double hook squid skirt yamashita. About 15 minutes into the fight, the Yellowfin was taken by a marlin and the trailing hook caught the marlin. After a 4+ hour fight on 80 lb tackle with a black-magic tuna belt he landed the blue.
Possibly the largest on standup tackle ?

You're right Uncle Vic, the jostling for 2nd place at all past UVII's would have been a done deal with a fish like that.
Stephen always gets a glassy look in his eye thinking about the Silicone Sisters. I am told that he still keeps his hula-hooping skills finely honed for his comeback one day.
