Made one last blackfishing trip with my brother. Caught a bunch of togs had some post trip cocktails a nice trip. Looked at the forecast for next week. 17 degrees at night yikes. Changed oil and filters in Chimera (in the sleet and rain). Boat goes on the hard tommorow and gets wrapped next week. Been a great year. Shame was we only put 260 hours on the boat.
This year its rip out the interior and redo.
Back in the water in late April if mother nature cooperates and then maybe down to North Carolina in the spring.
Sad day indeed.
Sounds to me like you'll be ready to come over next week, raid my liquor cabinet, stare at the River and tell some fishing stories. Our buddy with the Tides 27 is coming...hope you can make it!
A Tides 27! Yikes, those were made in our back yard by a friend,
aye, Rawleigh?

This buddy or ours who has the Tides (it's for sale) has been putting the strong arm on me for months now to buy his boat (knowing that I've been shopping for a B31). He tells me often "why do you want to own a boat where you're steering up over the bow cleat?" snicker-snicker.
All it took for me was one ride on JP's and that was it. As pretty as the Tides is...she ain't no Bertram! I trust JP will assit me when I open a can of whoop-azz on him next.
Have fun redoing the interior, it makes such a huge difference in these boats. I think the best thing we did was remove the forward dash area, it really opens up the entire interior.
Aw Hell after what we did last year doing the interior will be like falling off a log. Wiring is done, V-Berth is done its just a little floor supporting plywood paint and trim now.
And even if it ain't done she can still fish.
