Whisper power generator

Post by Geebert »

I'm studying generators and came across this brand that there's not a lot of info or history on, that i can find.
I know David Davidson, on here, has one. I've read his previous posts but couldn't see the pics for some reason.
I think they're somewhat new in the US, from what i can tell.
Does anyone have durability info on these?

I'm looking for the quietest, reliable generator. They're a lot of money, and you don't know how it it'll be until you've bought it, then you're married to it till it blows.
What does everyone on here wish they had, or glad they bought?

Is that the 3 cylinder?
And is it in the sound enclosure?

I’ve got about 300 hours on the Whisper now. It’s been reliable. No problems.
It’s a single cylinder, so there is a little more vibration than other gensets, but not excessive.
It’s very quiet though.
Spares and consumables are more expensive than more widely used brands.

But it is very compact and clean running. I’m happy with it.

Looking at their website, none of them are ignition protected, and its only optional on the 9kw and larger.
I've got gas big blocks, and don't need 9kw so that probably eliminates that one. From what I've read, they're probably one of the highest quality available though

Ive read the post but couldn't see any pics of your installation.
Did you modify the deck for your install?
Do you run an air conditioner on it? If so, what btu?
