Line cutters recomendation?
I'm going to install line cutters on my prop shafts. Any recommendations on brand? Anything I should know before I spend the $$?

Check clearance between your props and the struts before you buy any! Mine were too close together.

Shouldn't they go in front of the Struts?

I was looking at the brand Spurs that go between the strut and the prop.

There may be other alternatives as this was a while ago.

I have Spurs. I don’t really like them until I have the misfortune of wrapping a lobster pot and then I am really glad I have them. They are definitely not maintenance free. But they are effective. FYI, you will probably still have to either dive, swim or pull the boat to get the line out of the running gear, but it will spin free and will not blow out your transmission. And you will get home before you need to swim etc. Those are all good reasons in my mind.
