My apology in advance to Bruce and Mike for violating the "boating only" rule, but it is rumored that the guy bought the Corvette after selling his Bertram 31.

OK guys, this was too interesting not to post for all you gearheads to enjoy. A customer in California took his Corvette to the dealer to check out a minor "tick" (turned out to be a loose spark plug wire), but when the technician went to road test after completing the repair, he got into a street race with a Dodge Charger reaching speeds of 148 MPH. When the customer got his car back he checked the Performance Data Recorder (PDR, which includes video) and discovered what had happened. The street race occurs between the 9 and 10 minute marks. I can't tell who "won", but I think the Charger stayed out front. The customer was able to trade the Vette in for a brand new one at no cost to him. Not sure what happened to the tech.
