V Berth Rod Storage

Post by Chris Fretz »

First post. Long time reader.

I really admire what you all have done with your 31's. I'm not an owner but do fish on a 31. I've had entirely too much free time while running off shore to come up with a few ideas to make the boat more user friendly. The boat will get a interior refit in the future so the owner and I want to mock up some ideas to see what works.

Looking for pictures of rod storage above the V berth in the bow. Hoping to do 4-6 rod/reel combos per side.

Thanks

I'll second the request. I'm no where near the point of messing with the cabin on my project but would really like suggestions of what will work going up to a 50 class reel.

There might be some old pictures if you use the search function. What I have seen some are holders mounted to the overhead, and if needed holes in the rope locker to accommodate the rod tips if needed. If I remember right the holes in the rope locker bulkhead, had PVC piping inserted into them.
