TSL 2019
I kept a short log so I could share what we caught on the trip to Panama. A quick preface about the place. Amazing food wonderful accommodations and of course a fleet of 31’s all tucked 100 miles away from anywhere surrounded by 3 step jungle. 3 steps in and you change your mind. (Credit Andre)
We decided to rotate on the 3 boats we had at our disposal so each group could experience a set of Volvo’s, Detroit’s and the Cummins. The power didn’t make much difference except for the oil slinging dump truck motors were loud. The crews were pretty awesome. Each very different but all really good in their own ways.
Sorry my graph sucks!
We basically busted up into 3 groups and fished 4 days.
Day 1 Marlin. Sailfish. Tuna. Dorado. Roosterfish
Stowe’s 0 5. 0 1. 0
Dibrell/Fourrier. 0 0 2. 1. 0

One last thing there may be marginal discrepancies due to both alcoholism and an absence of facts. I’m not to be held accountable for anything posted on this chart. If there is an issue with that my lawyer, Jenny can be reached at 867-5309.

I’ll see what I can do Peter I started coming down with a cold the last day at TSL incubated it two travel days returning and feel slightly better than a steaming pile of dog shit today. Maybe Ray or Dug can slap a few up in the mean time?

Re: TSL 2019
Walter asked me to post some pictures......sure, no sweat. 1st let me download some pics from my camera. Gotta go to my box of never used electronic cables to find the correct one for my 10 year old Nikon Easy to (freakin) Use (my ass) Camara.
After trying every mini, micro, A,B, 2.0A thru Z I give up and go back to my box of cables to locate my card reader. Ha....after only 5 minutes of looking I find RazzelDazzel 1.0 hi speed USB card reader.
I try to insert the memory card and it’s way too large for any slot in the reader. Not to be out done, I try to line up the small card with the larger slot and go for it. Now my SD card is rattling around in the frameworks of the card reader, and trying to get it free is sort of like a Cracker Jack prize where you try to put the BB in the bullseye.... After a few minutes of prying and cutting I’m able to retrieve the card.
My teenage tech support got his tonsils removed this morning so I was feeling kind of sorry for him. But right now my misery index is higher then his, so I got him off the couch to assist. He was able to scavenge a built in card reader of an old computer and wire it to his MegaDeath Gameplayer computer and retrieve the files. Now comes the part of downloading to a host site and linking over here.......I feel this guys pain on so many levels.....pictures to follow tomorrow.

I just notice Walter giving Ray the bunny ears in that pic. Pretty much sums up the week. Yes Tony we had a blast!

Re: TSL 2019
Some background on the bull in the picture, we came upon a floating log that was about 30-40 ft long and no less than 30” in diameter. What looked like a boat owned by Sanford and Son was backed up to it while two young Panamanian men were sitting on one end tying a rope around it. For perspective these two guys were both out at the edge of this log and it didn’t look like it was any deeper in the water on that end as the other, it was beefy.
As we passed we hooked up to the Dorado in the picture. Ray tussled with it about 20 minutes and just as it came to the leader another rod went off. Walter worked that rod and shortly after that a third went off. We had 3 dodos going in 3 different directions and Ray became an afterthought to the crew. Mine came off a few minutes later then Walters about 5 minutes after that. By this time that bull got his mojo back and proceeded to hand Ray another 1/2 hour ass whoopin. Walter and I sang whaling songs ate sashimi drank beer and generally enjoyed Rays agony. Life’s good....

Re: TSL 2019
Ray,
Nice loop of the sailfish against the rocks, the mate looks like he's getting bored waiting for the leader. I've caught sails in the surf off of Stuart years ago went back to the same numbers 18 years later and caught 2 more within 15 minutes in 12 feet of water, who ever said they are only in deep water is a liar. I wish I could have made the trip but I'm still nursing 2 torn ligaments and acorn tendon in my just replaced right knee. Maybe another TSL trip in the future.

Glad you all had a great time. I’ve got to make it back there. Also good to hear that it sounds like the new ownership has kept it running top notch!
