B25 Survey and Pictures
I have posted a few threads here about the buying of this boat and about how far to take this restoration. Here are some photos and excerpts from the survey. Hopefully I can pick her up next week.

If fuel tank was replaced it should have a tag saying it is Coast Guard Complaint from fabricator.
Tank could very well have been made better...but without sticker or paperwork you may have an issue insuring.
If you do insure...fuel leaks insurance company may refuse claim based on non approved tank.
Interesting as it can be CG tagged, leak and claim paid...
Anyway, its something to consider...
Other then that, get cleaning and waxing, fill'er up and enjoy!

The dinette is built so the corner of the dinette is on top of the corner of the tank hatch. As a result the surveyor could not open up the tank hatch. He suspects that there is a tag on it but he could not get to it to verify.Carl wrote:If fuel tank was replaced it should have a tag saying it is Coast Guard Complaint from fabricator.

I like the teak and swim platform! It's great that the hull is painted!
My fuel tank label is adjacent to the sender/pickups, but I don't know if there is a standard for placement. I love his comment about not using ethanol!

Cam,
Why exactly did you choose to add foam under the deck? For added buoyancy or for rigidity? Is it closed cell foam? Thanks.

That looks pretty reasonable. What is wire in the upper part of the picture? Thru-hull transducer?
Yannis - it was open and foam is cheap. The idea was to add a little flotation and ride quality in that area, since we didn't have anything planned for outboard of the stringers. Closed cell foam. There are waterways built in to allow flow through the normal channels in the stringers

What did you end up deciding on a trailer?

Re: B25 Survey and Pictures
Found an ebay seller selling Loadrite aluminum trailers for 24'-26' boats with an 8000lb+ capacity.
This model: http://www.loadrite.com/spec-sheet-gene ... 400102LTB2
It was just under $5000 and was brand new and in stock only 2 hours from the boat. I'm picking her up tuesday.

Looks great! Let me know how the trailer works out, I’ll have to get a new one soon, been looking around.

Super happy with the trailer. It is WAY beefier than I expected from the pictures.

It is a mom and pop trailer dealer but they haul the trailers themselves (from the factory to their business) and it saves them at least a few hundred bucks a trailer. Plus is is a very low overhead type of operation. Professional and clean but not fancy. There is no customer service call center and you will only get un-sugar coated facts from them. Jodi runs the office and said their philosophy is: "were not trying to get rich on one trailer"
I am very satisfied with the trailer and the price was low. At least $1000 less than the boat broker for the same trailer. Again between Service, Quality and Price you only get to have 2. They will give you Quality and Price.
