I has an older 15-20 years “ Good automatic Windess “ on my 1986 28 ft. Bertram.
I works all the time without issue except last summer.
It started hanging up when deploying the anchor. I call the company in Barnigat, NJ .
They were still in business. They advised to buy a new anchor line as mine was probably stiff from age.
( it has probably been in the anchor locker since 1986. ).
I replaced the old with a new spool of 5/8 three strand and wala no problems.
They have a web site

I just looked at their site and they have some remanufactured units in stock.
