Water heater wiring.

Post by Donmystic1 »

On my 1986 28 flybridge the are two breakers marked water heater and refrigerator on the side of the dinette seat.
However there is only one outlet behind the refer. If both the water heater and the refer are plugged into this one socket won’t either the water heater breaker or refer breaker blow due to a overload.
It seems like there need to be two outlets back behind the refer.

Unless the bridge on the outlet has been removed and each plug wired separately.

The water heater will be wired directly from the breaker. The connections are made at the heater - it won't have a plug for an outlet.

Hope that helps…
