I know. That’s why I extend them. If it doesnt work out, I lost a week in my life, so what.
If it works, I gained much more!
Of course I arrange so it works.

Never been in Scandinavia. A dream trip for me.
Not so much in the summer though. In the winter cold. With snow, fire, game stew, good wine, and then after dinner go outside on a raindeer sled...to see the night lights. I like short days, fed up with the sun.
My son was in Stockholm last winter, he was amazed by what he saw...only there is always a layover somewhere and I hate planes. But I will manage. One day!

One cant have control on how people who are invited on his boat for a day cruise, dress...
Mind you, though, these speedos are not considered out of fashion or ugly over here.
This is, I believe, only an american thing.

The equivalent we have here, in terms of foul dressing, is wearing sandals with socks! When we see one while eating, we have to make sure that we concentrate on chewing our food well, or else we’ll choke from laughter.
Further more, just to prove the above, a few years back I was with this american cousin of mine who was visiting and Iafter dinner I took him out to a bar which I used to frequent. Upon trying to enter, the guy at the door started giving us a hard time like, the bar is full, asking if we made a reservation etc. Finally we got in and had a good time.
When I later went to the guy to ask why he’s given me a hard time, he replied that the other guy (my cousin) was wearing sandals with socks which is waaaay beyond the dress code of any bar...I was in my summer flip flops and there was no problem, but the combo sandals-socks is considered so ugly almost like from outer space...not only in bars, everywhere.
Go figure...

Yannis

Us old folks stay away from Speedo's. In fact I can think a number of people who should stay away from Speedo's.

The flip flops with socks is viewed the same way here. Why would you do that? My god man.

Flip flops with socks goes along with the generic crowd in Florida, that still wear white belts with matching white buckskin shoes. They went out with white leasure suits.

Tony,

I said sandals, not flip flops.
Sandals, they can be in leather too, with the two strap-downs over the foot and one around the ankle.
Flip flops with socks its absurd. Only Japs do that!

Yannis- -

A few problems with your pictures.

1- I'm not there
2- that's not a mermaid on the mermaid bench.
3- you do not have Stoli in your bottle rack
4- not enough pictures
5- did I mention, I'm not there?

...boy that water looks beautiful! and scenery is outstanding as well.

Speedo's - yes they are not the "in" fashion for our beaches.

Well, some beach, yes...but not the ones I frequent.
and yes the occasional Europeans and latinos.

...also a yes for competitive swimming and diving.

What is fashionable now are baggy swimsuits down way past the knees...interesting watching people try to swim in baggy shorts down past the knees.

And while your laughing at socks and sandals...yes, that is now a trend by me.
Socks and sandals and the even more popular and Trendy style of the teen young'ens is Socks and Slides, usually Nike's.
Some with colored socks.

Thanks for sharing the pictures...

Carl,

I can fix all above problems for you!
The stoli is in the freezer, what would a vodka do alone on a countertop in the sun, the mermaid is temporarily out of service and like I said to Lars, everybody is always welcome, not simultaneously I hope!
As for the pics I’m also having a hard time, because it seems that imgur has changed a bit and I cannot see how one can reduce the size (if and when he manages to copy a picture). Thats why I put a link instead.
Btw, I think the link is better, because you dont have to scroll down through the many pics each time.

It is about people who believe they have been abducted by an alien and taken to their space craft to receive an extensive physical that I usually refer to as getting engaged to your doctor. If you get my drift.

Rawleigh,

How could I ever have imagined, this guy is a master!
Also, I do not follow the “politics” section at all, as there is very little I understand about names and what’s going on over there...
Nevertheless, I see that you guys (Tony, Mark, Frank, You ...) are really up to date with...not only purely politics, which is a good thing, I wonder though if it’s of any use in your resumes, ha, ha!

Thank you Yannis!

I enjoyed looking at them.

That would be a place I would l go to for a vacation in a heartbeat.

Skip the cities and tourist attractions, give me a boat in a place like that, a restaurant on the beach...

Was it as warm and inviting as it looks from the pictures?

A nice ripe tomato, a few capers with some great olive oil and a sprinkle of salt...the best of the best.

If there is a stain on a shirt, its usually mine.
The last shirt I bought for myself, I had to buy...I was going by and dropped something on it.
At least it was my size...
