I don't know anything about those lifts, but 12,000 Lbs. is really close to what my 31 FBC weighs when getting launched, not much of a safety factor. With full fuel, a little rain, etc, well over 12K.

Depends on engines etc., but your call.

Oliver

Have not seen any of these in operation. They are not in great use here in the States.

Back before proper lifts, hydro hoists were the going thing. Two floats evacuated by pushing the water out with air to raise. Flooding the pontoons to make the thing sink.

Very maintenance prone.

Olivier- they scare the heck out of me. Have you watched video of how they drop the boat in the water? stern first, not evenly from what I understand.

What scares me is the thought of a leak in one pontoon .....

The best brand is AIRBERTH from Australia, i saw some in use in Hong Kong and they are great but very very expensive.
It's for that i'm looking for something cheaper and HydroHoist is affordable in second hand. With what i saw there is no
problem with the stern going first in the water because in the same time other part of the hull go in the water, around 72
seconds to release the boat .
