SORRY GUYS !!
I had to ....
I traded my beauty for a 1992 Bertram 37 with twin 6V92's.
It was a big decision , but I needed more space now the boys are getting bigger.
Sleeping 5 in a 31........
The Bertram dealer CNB Villenova in st Tropez was in love with my boat and we swept .
Now the 37 is on transport and I think it will be here on Thursday , this winter I will do the renovation.

That's it, you're out of the club. Please return your secret decoder ring.

I am now blocking all your emails and text messages............
Re: SORRY GUYS !!
That boat looks nice! Can't wait to see what you do to it.
Re: SORRY GUYS !!
How could you do this????!!!!
That is it. Capt. Pat, throw him out!
Kidding apart, that is one heck of a boat you got now. For me is a second best after a 31. Are you planning to change those DD 6v92? If so, what power?
Have read that desirable power would be:
Cummins Diamond 450 with 25 x 28 (3) blades.
Yanmar 6LY3-ETP
Can wait for this winter to pass to see the outcome.

Re: SORRY GUYS !!
Gert - Sorry to see the 31 go, but glad I got to see her in person last year.
All the best and I cannot wait to see what you do with this one.
Ian.

6V92's?
Do yourself a favor and just poke a sharp stick in your eye now and get it over with.

Re: SORRY GUYS !!
Interesting, a 37 with a windshield.engine room might be a a bit tight for diamond 450s, but if anyone can do it Gert can. Congrats can't wait to see this winters masterpiece.
Bill
Re: SORRY GUYS !!
Hey Gert, look at the bright side - it's still a Berty :-)
What kind of engines does it have?!... DD 6V71's?!... DD 6V92's?!...

Re: SORRY GUYS !!
I am pretty sure it has 6V92's. I read it I somewhere. Sorry, could not resist!
Re: SORRY GUYS !!
Well, considering the year (1992) it's definitely going to be 92's... In fact, considering the year, and if they're DD's, they might be DDEG's... And that would be bad news as parts for those are becoming extremely rare... I would think that in Europe they're even rarer...Kevin wrote:I am pretty sure it has 6V92's. I read it I somewhere. Gert, if you need somebody to ship for you parts to NL, just PM me... I'd be happy to help... Plus, if it's unavailable in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area there's always Ebay and the internet...

Re: SORRY GUYS !!
Well at least its not a Hatter-ass.....
Having the privilege of spending a few hours on a 37 I can agree that its a very comfortable ride.
But your 31 was/is a very classy girl......I am sure you will miss her and the new owner will turn a lot of heads.
I have often thought that my next boat would be a 38 Special......
We will still speak to you Gert......but not in public....LOL! !

Re: SORRY GUYS !!
I will miss the beauty of her to...!
what me also made help to decide was , that my old boat had gassers with 1500 hours on them , and the new one has the Detroit 6v92 DD"s with only 650 hours on them.
The former owner had the boat in the water for only 1 month per year , ( she has never been slept in ! )
What I am not gonna miss ,is being swept around like a rag doll on top and getting wet every time I hit a wake of a passing Mangusta.
The plan is to make this the most beautiful 37 Bertram of the planet , ship it back to the south of France and leave it there ( shipping back and forth will be to expensive ), and buy a project 31 again for the dutch waters !! ( that is a promise !!!)

Re: SORRY GUYS !!
Do you still have the 25?
Re: SORRY GUYS !!
...and sorry you should be!
LOL- I think the caliber to which you restored that boat gives you a pass.
Nice looking 37, clean! ...can't wait to see the subtle rehab it gets.
Was Ball Toaster an option that year??
Radar looks great mounted there, but not good for the person at the helm.
Should be slightly more room with this one.
Best of luck with it.
