Capt Patrick,

What is the material made from? I used some white rubber...extremely expensive. Picked it up at Blue Water ship store. The UV's "pinked" it out in one month. I was considering going to a black color.

Is there something that won't go pink so fast?

Thanks

Scot,

Pink color on rubber or PVC is usually due to a mold. It usually only occurs in warmer climates & 1:3 bleach:water spray usually keeps at bay.

Check at a local marine supply or hardware store for black neoprene sheeting if you want to go that direction.

Scot,
The material is the same as the textured rubber on a fighting chair footrest. Murray Products or one of the other manufacture's may be able to get you some.
Also saw some in the Lewis Marine catalog, its called Pyramid mat Fig 4137 on page 746. $46.95 per yard list.

Good luck

I bought rubber base from Home Depot that is used as baseboard material where sheetrock meets the floor generally on seen commerical jobs. It worked great and I think it was about $3.00.

Scot,
The gears went to a rebuilder in Fl. Talked to him once he sent me a check and a bill of lading. Awesome guy. If anyone has to get rid of Cummins parts or good high Horsepower gears this guy pays good money. Send me a pm if you need more info. Recently I called and swapped out a set of exhaust elbows at no charge. Good people.
