I'd let Timmy pull the RLDT slogan, I'm sure there are a few ideas only he can articulate.

"Old Dog Same Tricks Bertram 31"
"At least I don't own a Hatteras -Bertram 31"
"Its blowin we're goin Bertram 31"

Then there is the classic:

" Best Boat Ever Built- Bertram 31"

I'd like to see a Bertram "V" with the eagle for a truck rear window sticker....like all those Harley folks. Not too big, about 6"-8" would be classy.

Brewster,
I have one that has the Bertram "V" and says:
"My other ride is a 31 Bertram"
I'm not sure but indecision may or may not be my problem.

Bruce, problem is most of these guys can not only buy and sell me with just thier tax bills, but they really could afford to upgrade to a Hatt.
No accounting for poor taste. You can lead a dog to water , but you can't make him driink. Even the old beauty in the eye BS is hard to apply to the RLDT crowd.

Doug you need to get a different job if you've got enough time to think up those lame a*s stickers.

I do like the
"Bertram 31, when old age hasn't done enough damage to your body"
T-shirts and bumper stickers for everyone

One of the best shirts I ever got (rendezvous back in the '80's) showed a 35 coming off the crest of a twelve footer and about to drop unceremoniously into the trough. The caption, of course, "Thank God it's a Bertram."
Like the truck idea.
I still have "Best boat ever built" license plate frames on the truck and my car.
Agree with Scott (I think) don't make them too big. When you're the best and the world knows it, no need to yell.

I would mention that my "Ideal" truck rear window sticker would ONLY contain the V & Eagle, no text....this keeps us 25, 20, 26, 28, 33, etc. owners happy to partake.

Although we all love (except Timmy) the 31's we don't all own them for various reasons, But we do own Bertrams.

I agree with Mikey, you don't "have" to say what it stands for. Anyone that doesn't know, doesn't need to know. To all the rest the V & eagle says it all.

The bumper sticker idea is great. I have a sticker on my truck that says:
MY OTHER TRUCK IS A
31 BERTRAM
I'm a redneck farmer b31 owner, I also have a bumper sticker on one of my trucks that says: TRUCKS ARE RED - TRACTORS ARE GREEN.

My buddy owns a sign shop, he had one of his guys draw the Bertram logo then cut it out in vinyl that looks like the glass was sandblasted, this one has been on this truck for 3 years. [img][/img]

IIRC the logo is copy righted or a registered trade mark.

Might want to call and ask if its okay to reproduce it.

As long as it's complimentary to the brand, and not sold commercially, just given away to the Faithful, even with the promise of a minor donation to support this site, I doubt the Bertram Yacht folks would mind, but of course I don't speak for them.

I still like the license plate holder motto, "Best Boat Ever Built" with "Bertram 31" under that. Got a pair on my old Tahoe to this day.

Vic,
Your probably right. Most anything associated with this site has been very complimentary to Bertram to say the least.
But out of respect to the brand, it would be proper to ask.

It might cause a stir at one of the rondevous if a corp exec saw the stickers on a table with a price tag. Not worth losing their support over.

Scot,
Not trying to be a party pooper although it is listed as a skill on my resume.
Everything on this board has been up to now conducted with the utmost in professionalism and courtesy to the Bertram brand.

Wouldn't want to stop now.
All they may require is a possible registered logo mark after the v/bird.

Most printing companies will not reproduce a corporate logo without a signed release anymore due to lawsuits.

One guy driving around with the logo on his window most likely will not garner notice. A stack of bumper stickers on a table with a 5 bucks sign will.

On a unrelated note,
Bruce, just curious what is your forum signature all about?

Mac,

Doubtful that he does... At $1.99 each, there's no margin for a royalty to Bertram. It's also highly doubtful that Bertram would grant consent anyway.

This site was only up and running for a few short weeks before I had an email from Don Jones about using their logo. Because of the obvious advantage to Bertram to have a "Fan Club" of their most famous hull model, permission was granted with the only restriction that I include a disclaimer that bertram31.com is not affiliated with the Bertram Factory & that the logo is registered property of Bertram Yachts.

I would imagine that when & if the Ebay guy gets found out, he'll be getting a note from Don also, and with far less diplomacy...

Bruce's sigs?? Well, they change from time to time and are almost always designed to provoke or entertain, depending on how thin skinned the reader might be... Hey, after all, he's a key member of "The Mean Team"

Take a look at this note on the B33 forum.. If Bertram can use the graphics the 33 guys created I would imagine they would let you guys use their logo...
