I am pretty sure that was the broken injector tip dumping fuel. I think this was going on for a little while (5 hours of operation while) and it burned the piston up and suffered failure. I'm not convinced. Perhaps there was a detonation that cracked the piston, but usually it's a lean condition th...

Carl, if you're going to get something for offshore use, get one with an integral harness. That way you can use it to 'last yourself to the mast' if need be.
