Located in upper portion of drive unit. Provides high-
torque carrying capacity and smooth shift operation.
UNEQUALLED CORROSION
PROTECTION/MERCATHODE (OPTIONAL)
All Bravo models feature MerCathode electronic corrosion protection. It
automatically guards against galvanic currents that cause corrosion and
eliminates the need for frequent replacement of anodes. Bravo models also
receive an Electro-Deposition Painting (EDP) process that coats key engine
components before assembly to ensure the best possible corrosion protection.
COLOR-CODED SERVICE POINTS
Essential service points are color coded for the easiest possible identification. Yellow for engine oil. Black for drive oil. Blue for coolant. Brown for transmission and power steering fluid.

AUDIO ALARM SYSTEM Warns in the event of oil pressure, water temperature or drive lubricant irregularities occur.
POWER TRIM XD Provides better acceleration, mid- range performance, top-end speed, a smoother ride and improved fuel economy.
INTEGRAL SPEEDOMETER PICKUP The speedometer pickup and hoses are incorporated into the drive unit and transom assembly for more accurate readings. Eliminates remote pickup breakage.
BRAVO ONE COUNTER ROTATION Eliminates need for special left-hand drive in dual installations which helps make replacement parts less expensive and more accessible by allowing use of common parts.
LUBEABLE ENGINE COUPLER Provides for easy lubrication of U-joint shaft splines from inside the boat, without the need to remove the drive unit.

NEW GEAR LUBE MONITOR Engine mounted monitor allows the drive unit lubricant to be checked and filled from inside the boat.
OPTIONAL STAINLESS-STEEL EXHAUST ELBOWS Reduces back pressure for improved performance. Stainless-steel exhaust elbows afford as close to a lifetime system as is available today. Less than 1/2 the weight of cast iron elbows for an improved power to weight ratio.
ENGINE MOUNTED SEAWATER PUMP Allows for ease of service from inside of boat.
HYDRAULIC SHOCK ABSORBERS Cushion the drive unit on impact and "memory system," returns it automatically to preset trim position.
55 amp ALTERNATOR Fully charges battery for dependable starting and extra capacity to handle additional electrical accessories.
OPTIONAL EXTERNAL TILT SWITCH Remote mounting allows for tilting the drive from outside the boat when trailering or launching.
INCREASED ANODE PROTECTION 5 total; 2 anodes added to trim cylinder; 1 to gear case bearing carrier.
