Ed,
Acrylic isn't a very good choice of materials for flat windows; too much distortion and it doesn't age well... Glass would be preferable.

Stephan, The Gold series 2000 and the standard 2000 are rated at 8.4 amps. All of the other details are the same also... One online retailer only shows a $7.00 difference in price between the two. John, Laminate comes thick and thin. I prefer thick because of the added rigidity and strength. Thin follows irregularities in the sub straight and cracks too easily... Here's my way: Sand the plywood and remove all dust. Roll on a coat un-thickened catalyzed epoxy on both the ply and the laminate, ...

Re: Strut pads
Douglas Fir marine plywood is king in this situation... What you're looking for is compression strength that will spread the load of the strut being forced up through the hull and plywood will do that. Coosa Board, Divinycell, Aerex, etc are simply light weight core materials, (fine for bulkheads a...

Mark, Any transverse bulkhead, beam, or other fixed item that intersects with the hull must have a space to prevent a hard spot. If it is necessary to actually connect the two points, do so with a radiused tab. A hard spot, in this case, is defined as a spot where the normal flexing of the hull is s...
