Re: Off Topic -- Windows 10
Win10 is, so far, proving just as stable as XP, Vista, & Win7 for me. Like I said, the upgrade from Win7 was painless. I never experienced the grief of Win8.x, but from I've heard from all of those who did have Win8.x, Win10 is a no brainer... One of the software programs I use is the archaic Eudora...

Off Topic -- Windows 10
Like many other MS Windows users, I waited for the release of Win10 and debated daily for over 6 months as to whether or not I would install it once the time came. Based on most of the reviews I had read and a couple of not so computer savvy neighbors who had installed it a few days earlier, I went ...

Nav, Tuna towers are taller than marlin towers. What most people call tuna towers are actually marlin towers... The B46, mainly because of length to beam ratio and deep v hull, is probably Bertram's most rolling hull in a beam sea. A tower further compounds the roll as the height increases the cente...

John,
PVC foam board might not be a good choice for your intended use. I'd stick with 1/2" plywood, with epoxy laminated Formica on both sides. I agree with John S on the heat issue... And would use sound proofing either way to further protect the interior surface from heat.

Carl, My prop guru drilled the same 10% minimum into my mind many years ago. Re: West Aussie B20 floor and hull reno
Matt, What you've called a girder is a lifting strake... They were laid up with the rest of the hull in the 2 piece mold but after several layers of fiberglass, were bridged over to finish the rest of the hull. This means two things; the fiberglass thickness is very much thinner than the rest of the...

Preston, Almost all paints, (house paint, model paint, you name it...) are colorized using a neutral base, not white. Yannis, No, the lifting strakes are integral to the mold... Once the layup crew had gotten enough glass worked into the voids if the strakes, they then bridged over them with roving, leaving the strake hollow. Trying to attach and glass in the stringers after the hull is laid up & pulled would be ve...
