Morse control head

I am trying to remove the handles from Morse twin lever control head. Removed both screws on the handle, loosened the allen screw inside the head. The handles now flop around easily, but don't pull off the control head. can someone tell me what comes next. Pry it off, screw it off? I've tried each with moderate pressure with no luck. Anyone done this before?
