Hydraulic cylinder / dripless shaft seals

Post by coolair »

While the deck is off I am down to little stuff. Exhaust, steering, fuel lines, and a little wiring. Not a lot left to get the deck on and gt her moving again.
Guess I should make a list of my questions and ask them once and not create n posts. But anyway. Her are 2 more

1. What size cylinder do I use on the steering? At this time I am probably going to get a set up by uflex because I can get it wholesale. Unless anyone has had problems with them.

2. What is best place to tie in the water supply hose on the dripless shaft seals? I have the pss
Thanks
Thanks

Matt

I just replaced my steering cylinder.....I am guessing that the cylinder diameter is about 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 inch OD. I can measure the old one tomorrow or whenever if you need me to do so.

I chose to hook up my shaft seal water supply directly to the back of the raw water pump.....no real reason.....just felt like it was a good place.
