Cummins Warranty?

When does warranty start?
-Time of Purchase???
-After Cummins dealer does its operational checks, sea trial, etc..???

Example is:

-Engines bought brand new from cummins early 2008.
-Installed in boat by November 2008.
-Cranked and checked for first time August 2010 (Out of water).
-Will be sea trialed with cummins rep this week 2010.

As long as the engines have not been previously submitted for warranty, the warranty will start at the time they are OK'd by a factory certified mechanic and put into service.

This is primarily for factory new or factory rebuilt.
