My question is why is it for sale? Are they getting rid of it because the FBSF is better suited for there duty?

Isnt this the one one?

My guess it's a combination of the Sportsfisherman suiting their standard Captain/2 mates operation better and the Isuzu engines being different from what all the other boats have.

It has been used as a standby boat for a while and when I was there a few weeks ago was told they were shipping another FBSF from Texas down that week to be customized to match the rest of the fleet. The Bahia was not used on a regular basis and Walt hit the nail on the head - the FBSF, as customized by TSL, is the ideal boat for them.....and one reason the place runs so smoothly is all the boats are identically laid out so the captains and mates know exactly where everything is. The engines are mostly DD 4-53s with a few exceptions and my feeling is they are zeroing in on the 4 cyl. John Deere 150 hps for ultimate replacements for the 4-53s as the parts for the 53s get harder and harder to obtain.

The fleet size of 16 is pretty much the max they can maintain in the middle of the jungle, and its amazing they can do it so well. A swap out.

Depending on a few key qualifications, topless can be a wonderful thing...

It's the hull...everything else is personal taste. I wouldn't walk away from any of them.
