Furuno GPS 1650

Post by scenarioL113 »

I have my furuno GPS working and even though its an older unit I want to use it for a while. It has Navionics and would like to put an updated Navionics chart in it.

Will this unit take a newer chip?

The one that is in there is from like 2002 or around there when I bought it.

I bench tested it and it is working great just has old style looking charts and probably old info as well.

It is full color.

Thanks

Good unit, Like around here the inlet channel changes so much that the plotter is off anyway. Use it when its nice and you will now where you need to be.
I use the old cards also offshore still the same data.

Good luck.
