Turbo parts for Holset

Post by scenarioL113 »

I wanted to share some info with anyone that may be rebuilding their turbo on their Cummins engine.

I have holset H1C and it was in bad shape. The shaft wheel fins (turbine side) were bent over slightly and there was excessive play in the shaft as well. I needed to replace the turbine/shaft wheel assembly. That is the impeller that is permanently attached to the shaft on the exhaust sided.

I shopped around and contacted atleast 5 different retailers and I got prices from $385.00 to over $500.00.

Persistence pays off, I finally found a company and got a quote.

$115.00 plus $20.00 shipping all in USD. The company is in the U.K. and the part was 100% correct.

How can you beat that. Turbo is back together and shaft is now tight and all seems to be good.

The company is Melett and can be found on the web.

They asked if it was for business or personal use, not sure if it mattered because they didnt verify any information.

Pleasure to deal with!
