Looking for a Bertram Project Boat

Post by Harry Babb »

Hey guys
A fellow came by my shop today interested in purchasing a project Bertram. I think he would prefer a 31 but may settle for other models.

Anybody know of a project boat for sale in the Gulf Coast area around Alabama NW Florida or Mississippi??

Bruce, did you look at the 31 in Dothan on your trip back from Patricks?

Harry,
I didn't go by cause when I put my customer to the test, come up with money for me to inspect, he backed out. Just a tire kicker.

I even spent the night just south of Dothan. I also didn't realize how flooded the area was until I got home.

Harry,
The Keys is a long way away but I mentioned in another post the 25 at a trap yard. I am still trying to swing in there off duty to check the HIN. It would be a sure project boat.

It is not a 31 for sure, but it is a bertram in North Carolina, a hell of a deal and definately a project. 3 out of 4 ain't bad...

I will call my guy tomorrow with all of the possibilities that I/we found. If you ever wanted to buy a 31 now sure seems to be the time.

Rocket,
A friend had a Bertram 20 back in the late 80's. He removed the I/O unit and installed a 150 HP OMC SeaDrive. It made a pretty nice setup

Thanks

Harry
