Going with a friend to sea trial a boat with QSD9--380HP---what should be the WOT RPM want to confirm she is propped correctly.

I don't think there are a lot of guys running the QSB's on this site. I looked at both Boatdiesel and Cummins' site. I'd say to make sure they can hit 3000rpms in gear @ WOT with a full load.

Thanks--any idea how fast you should cruise them? 2500?

I think you could cruise them at 2500-2600rpms. That's just a guess. I'd head over to boatdiesel.com to educate yourself prior to the sea trial.

Usually 200 rpm's under wot....at least that's what the rule is with the 6b's.
