Cabin Bulkhead reinforcement B25

Post by HotSpot »

Hi All

While doing some spring maintenance, I discovered that the cabin bulkhead on my 25 moppie had been tabbed to the hull with a layer or two of woven fiberglass on the inside of the cabin. It looks like it was cut at some point (or separated on its own??). Curious to know your collective thought on the purpose of this bond. Looks like it may have served a structural purpose. Easy enough repair, but value your opinions.

Hotspot,

My B25 did not have this glass, I'm wondering if a previous owner put it in to keep water from being sprayed into the cabin?

Thanks, KTM.... with a growing backlog of projects before we dunk her, I feel better about letting this be for now.
