Water heater

Post by Donmystic1 »

Anyone know what the original brand and model water heater was installed in a 1986 28 flybridge model.
What have you replaced it with?
Thanks

I put in a Bosch Electric Mini-Tank Water Heater Tronic 3000 T 4-Gallon. It is shore power only but I always have my Honda generator on the bow. I use it for sink only no shower.
It works well. I put it behind the frig.

Do you want to know the best water heater configuration in a 28?
Gas water heater. I got plenty of pics, only the ones I’m singing in the shower under endless hot water I dont have!
Almost zero investment and endless hot hot hot water!

For fear of any fire hazard, I encased the water heater into this aluminum drawer-liner (purchased at a utility store/kitchen dept), which I then cut and bent according to the space available. The top side of the heater gets very hot, so that alum protects the boat ceiling from the heat.
