Has anyone used Seakamp trans coolers? need to replace current Mercruisers which are appox. $500 vs $140 almost seems to cheap.....ty Bill
Re: Trans coolers
Never used seakamp always used sendure as an alternative to standard size oem oil and trans coolers. Googled seakamp and no big failure issues showed up. Just make sure the replacement is cupro nickel and not just copper.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but I learned early on to work upside down, sideways and slither into places.Craig Mac wrote:I will be replacing my oil cooler on the port side on 454 motor---access is a bitch---any tips?
I also removed manifolds from time to time to get access.
Re: Trans coolers
I've had good luck with lenco cupronickel coolers. They were reasonably priced last time I checked (@ 10 years ago).
