"Current Affair" and Charlie Johnson
Hello -
I just spoke with my hauler, who was few miles out from loading Current Affair to begin her over-the-road trip to Ohio. She will arrive (fingers crossed) tomorrow to Catawba Island and spend summers on Lake Erie as "One More Girl" I am the dad of 3 little girls who cannot wait to go for boat rides, so the name was only fitting.
More importantly, I wanted to thank Charlie in this forum for his unbelievable courtesy and going above and beyond to help get Current Affair ready for the trip. I won't go into all the details, but without Charlie's help I don't know if the deal could have happened. I am and will continue to be extremely grateful for his help. Charlie hosted me and my friend Max (Moguls2Go here on the board) in NY when I was there for survey and could not have been any more hospitable to us.
I've lurked around this board for some time and read a few of the threads about the brotherhood amongst the members of this board and can now, happily, attest to it first hand. I will be sure to post here with questions, pictures of us enjoying the boat and try to do my fair share to contribute to what Capt. Patrick started and I see so many of you carrying forward.
I'm honored to assume ownership from Charlie and become the next steward of Current Affair/One More Girl and look forward to enjoying it with friends and family for many, many years to come. Thanks again Charlie!
Best Regards,
Charlie

Welcome
I am sure she will serve you and your family well. Just ignore Mike, he gets mean sometimes.

Consider yourself lucky... Mike must be mellowing out with age because previous newbies didn't get any passes <grin>mike ohlstein wrote:I pledge to grant you one (1) pass, before getting all mean on your ass.......

Welcome! Even though it's not a soft top Express Cruiser, it's a great looking boat (lol), and will serve to give you many, many great times and keep your family safe. Enjoy and post pics of her in her new digs!
