water tank

is there a special fittin for the water tank fill on top of the tank ???i tried a 1 1/4" street ell and my floor hit, the top off my tank has a small vent fittin and on the bottom is the other fittin that goes to the pump.the floor height is still the same nothing was changed.i was thinking of using a bronze floor pipe fittin with a hose barbed 90'to go to the fill neck, on the back of the tank up high .any help on tis one ????got the struts and engine jig in place today,,getting there....
