repacking shafts

Anyone used Western Pacific Dripless Moldable PTFE? used Gortex last time around and my marina mentioned this stuff but they have not used it yet with anyone not sure I want to be the test boat...TXS Bill G

A friend of mine was thinking of trying it but the tech specs changed his mind.
Might be a none issue but it put some doubt in his mind.

The following is from the Jamestown Distributors site:

Not suitable for boats with extremely fast shaft rotation
To determine if your shaft rotation exceeds the limitations of this product, use the following formula:
Shaft size x 3 x Max. Shaft RPM (not engine RPM) / 12 = Max. FPM Max FPM should not exceed 900

I beleive our shafts will spin too fast for this stuff.
