bertram 25 repower /NEW GASS TANK QUESTIONS

Post by spencer »

I strarted the repower on the 25 bertram, going with twin 150 four stroke mercury motors, on a bracket
the original gass tank and the gass tank added behind the original tank needs replacment

I would like to just have one tank made 200 gallons and elimanate all the extra lines and valves associated with two tanks
is any one concerned with this , too much weight in the stern area ? I usually only used the foward (factory tank) when fishing locally and added fuel to the tank behing the original tank on long trips.

I put my extra capacity (130 gallons total) forward to avoid burying the stern. The stock boat CG is about 10 feet from the transom, twins on a bracket will push it aft. installation photo:

I would love to hear your thoughts on the mercs...
