We fished the Freeport Hudson Anglers shark tournament over the weekend and caught a 242 lb. Mako on my dad's boat 'Happy Time'.

Great video...gotta put those mako heads in a bucket on the way home...we had one eat the coming pad on the ride home, after 90 minutes tied off on the deck..that go pro sure takes some great vids..bh

Yea, once we had her tied up we put a bucket over her head. Here's a shot of us at the weigh in.

Healthy looking juvenile female Mako.
250# is about 7'-6"
9' is 400#
Males at 200 can reproduce females need to be about 350-400 to reproduce.
This one had a 5 gallon bucket in it's mouth.
