Super Bowl
Well I can't say my heart is broken watching Payton the head case get his ass handed to him. He is a charter member of the Dan Marino school of chewing out your team mates out on national TV and deserves the thrashing he took. I had no dog in the hunt and saw it from a I don't give two shits perspective. Good on Seattle even though they had some undeserving assholes on their team as well. It was a lob sided victory but was entertaining none the less. Here's to a better Super Bowl next year!

Outside of a couple fo Super Bowls, I classify most as duds. Over hyped, suprised they can still sell tickets to the thing for the price they ask.

Re: Super Bowl
Tony, certainly reinforces the old adage "Defense wins games!"
Steve, I watched the whole video surrounding the "Sherman" interview. Listened to his defenders telling the stories about him being top of his class in high school and college and how he is such a great guy,..........sorry.........he's a jackass.

They say he's a smart guy and graduated Stanford with great grades. but he is a poor representative of his school and his superbowl winning team.

Faithful
After watching the NFL(National Felons League) all fall all I can say is the players are their own worst enemy, I 'll be glad when Baseball starts again, Another World Series for the RED SOX is in the works.

I was lucky enough at the young age of 18 to make the Super Bowl that let the AFC in from the cold. Of course those were the days before replays and all that good stuff. So it was great sitting at the Orange Bowl watching the game. Today, I would not spend the money and it is better to just pull up the old couch, and turn up the big screen . You miss too much at the game.

I'd say that Mack learned some expensive humility... Nothing to win, a bunch to loose.MarkS wrote:Our own Johnny C took "Mattress Mack" to da cleaners!
Mack said: "In the long term, we made a lot of happy customers, that's what it's all about: building customers for life." Welllll.... I'd call that a lame attempt at saving face...

Hey old fart. Mack is a neighbor of mine. You will not find a more humble, god fearing, generous man in Houston. Glad to call him a friend. He lost around 2mm of his own money on this deal. He gained a whole bunch in free advertising and good will. Congrats Cranston.CaptPatrick wrote: I'd say that Mack learned some expensive humility... Nothing to win, a bunch to loose.

Say what you will, it takes a hell of a man to stand behind that bet.
Re: Super Bowl
LOL...I should have read to the bottom. It's a small world.
Re: Super Bowl
Pete,
If the defense can't score, its not a sport its paint drying.
I had no problem with Seattles defensive back Sherman. Been there in high stakes sports playoffs, seen worse.
How bout "the 70's called and want their fur coat back " Namath. Dude is a few sandwiches short of a picnic.
And yes Manning your performance was embarrassing, not insulting. As viewers we were insulted we had to view such pathetic play.
