Boat partnerships are one of the hardest. Someone is always not happy.

I know a partnership would not work for me.
I usually don't care how things are done...just long as its my way.
Almost sorta kidding.
But I have to say that some people do make it work.
Three boats I know of have been partnerships since I can remember.
One boat has increased in size tremendously from a Grady 25 to a 40 something Viking.
These guys are not only partners in boats but they are business partners.
I may have to rethink my original statement as I guess my boat is really a partnership with my wife.
But it would be an interesting partnership not having access to your boat, having your partner use and enjoy while you share in the expenses and upkeep??
Or maybe consider a lease...I own, but its your to use and enjoy till lease runs out then we renegotiate. Boat is to be returned in same condition.
Actually I think there is a company that kinda does that for yachts (gotta love cable TV)...split ownership.

I bought a Bertram 25 many moons ago that had been a partnership. The boat was called “Tres Amigos” by the time I came along I don’t think there were any more amigos and I got a good deal on a boat with much deferred maintenance.
This thread cracks me up. Lots of options.
Personally, I like the air drop idea. Incoming, I’ve got plenty room at my shop here in Texas and unfortunately, one more non-moving boat on blocks wouldn’t raise an eyebrow around my shop. Just my wife rolling her eyes. Feel free to air drop any time.
On a serious note. Good luck with the new twist in life. While I love the coast and never plan to be far from it, Colorado is a beautiful place. Enjoy the next chapter of life in Denver if that’s how it works out. Good luck on the B38.

Find a reasonable cost location in a warm place and use it as a "warm weather getaway" for the family

That is something I would personally love to do....but then I think of my schedule and that scratches out the majority of the year right off the bat.
Then I think of the kids schedules knocking off a bunch of other weekends.
Then I think of the few times I could go...
And usually all I can say is "dam I'm tired" the thought of having to travel back and forth to airport, wait for a plane, hope its on time, use the boat hope my flight back is on time otherwise its a late night making for a tuff weeks start.
Then again...thats my schedule.
Would be nice to do that though...

Great news guys - I was offered and accepted a great job that will keep me in DC - at least for now. Crisis averted!
Thanks to all of you for your support and advice. I'm certainly glad I didn't have to act on it!
