You can say that again... Anybody we know?!... Somehow I don't think that one is being parted out...[/quote]
Nav -- what do you mean that boat wasn't parting out? DO I have now I have to return the running gear, electronics and riggers that I thought were abandoned in place??

LOL... For a moment you had me going... I don't think (hope?) any member around here would "help themselves" to equipment of another Bertram without explicit permission from the owner...TailhookTom wrote:Nav -- what do you mean that boat wasn't parting out? Well, not "everyone" is OK... There have been fatalities in Haiti and the Bahamas... There's been much destruction there too... And even in the US... According to one report I received the docks that were part of Hinckley's operation in Savannah, GA are gone... The boats that were tied up are either sunk or in the swamp...Rawleigh wrote:Glad to hear that everyone is OK! Thanks you Lord!
But yes, thank Gd as it could have been FAR worse...

Re: Tropical storms forecasts
I think some of our Carolina guys have not been heard from. They are dealing with some heavy flooding. They may need some assistance.

Does anyone know the 31, A Cup of Joe, in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina? We have friends and family down there and haven't heard much. Hope everyone south is recovering?

This picture is supposedly from St Augustine:
Note the fact that part of the dock (allegedly the Chonch House fuel dock) is still attached to the boats... I don't think waiting for high tide is going to get them back in the water...

Pictures remind me of the Sandy aftermath up here in NJ.
These poor people are going to experience a long road back. For some it will be a struggle.

Actually, for the (mostly) poor people in the Bahamas things will be worse... At least you had the support and backing of the rest of the US... And supplies were a truck ride away...Tony Meola wrote:Nav

Hurricane Nicole is a category 5 and is bearing down right onto Bermuda... It's as if Nicole put a bullseye on Bermuda and then started moving...
