Front window question

I am new to the site and have a question. Did all of the 31s from the factory have front windows or was it an option to not have them.

Hi Alex, welcome aboard! Yes, all the 31 Bertram's had front windows that tilted out for ventilation (but also had a reputation for leaking). The aluminum window frames supported the hardtop and bridge. There are many 31s that have been renovated and have had fiberglass molded blanks inserted after removing the front and curved windows. Some of the FG inserts have been installed so professionally that they look like they are original.
