Cummins 504 parts

Post by gplume »

Was crawling over my port engine the other day putting in a new battery. Noticed what looks like the start of "failure" on the front flange of my port exhaust manifold. Everythings still running and no leaks, but want to try to locate a "new/used" maniford and replace this winter...(or sooner if it starts leaking) just to be safe. Anybody have an leads on Cummins 504 parts. Have searched the internet to no avail. If you have a whole engine you want to get rid of would consider taking it off your hands for the right price....that is not too high.

moral of the story....don't ever tell anyone your boat is running good...its the kiss of death.

Giff: John Hazard asked that I pass on to you a reference for your parts. He has two 504's that came out of a B31 down in Manteo,Carolina that are at Just Right Auto and Marine. They have the copper manifolds. Ask for Frank or Jeff. (252) 475-One Thousand.

Jimmy-

Do you know if you have a port or starboard engine? Mine are a little differnt on each side, but either way I don't think it's a show stopper.

I'll send you a PM for more data.

Jimmy-

Free from obligations now. Had a number of thing that came up(new car(thats a story in itself)...2 boats ,out, winterized, and wrapped.........worst part of fall).

Anyway, can break free now, and would like to hook up for some parts.

Just send me a message with some contact info (phone #) and we can arrange a time for me to take the trip to south Jersey.

Thanks.

Neil-

Working on firming up a date with Jimmy. Be at least 1-2 weeks out. Either be me and the Mrs. or me and junior ( I have one also.) in which case we may have to bring surfboards. (my junior tells me south Jersey surfing is good if there's a swell.)

Hoping Uncle Marky is around for a couple of cold ones......

Looking forward to a "road trip"...

Got your PM so I'll be in touch.
