First time I heard "Impressive Rack" in this context. But, seeing as how Bob has thought of everything, I'm guessing some type of a wireless pneumatic launching system -- after all, what is Resolute if she can't fire off the artillary?

That impressive rack has got your attention...it holds 10, I can reach all but center two from gunwale, the other two will be from cooler or engine box, I wanted a home for the trolling rods when I switch over to night chunking, Tom i like the pneumatic launcher idea...getting her surveyed on tuesday Pete, have gotten some stupid quotes, I will give you a call when I get the survey back and look for an agent who can see the effort put into the ole girl and that she is worthy of insurance coverage. At the metal shop now and hope to launch her on the 15th..BH

Bob I have owned a boat sometimes two or more for 52 years and never had insurance.this year I decided to have a survey on the 31 just in case something happens to me I need to place a number value on it for children's inhiredence .the surveyor took out his little hammer and started going over the bottom .i just snickered when he received the " brick wall sound on hull side.with that I said just come up with a number the boat could be used as a icebreaker for a north passage!.well I am still waiting for report.anyways bob enjoy the boat do your sea trials you can get the survey afterwards.

Insurance. When I bought my boat I had a survey done, my neighbor across the street did it. Very thorough. Most insurance companies after reviewing the survey wanted every item in the report repaired, receipts and re surveyed or would only insure with port risk. Meaning I couldn't leave the dock except to take it to a marina for repairs.

Finally went with progressive. They will insure the boat for whatever value you give them and require no survey. As I understand it their entrance into boat insurance is fairly new and they make it simple to get new customers.

I hit a surmerge piling about 20 miles off shore .at the crack of dawn could not see anyways. The 5" thick bow of the Bertram push the 20' log sidewards causing only slight paint damage.foutunately I did not go over it and destroy shafts/ prop.
