Whats is the best way to clean props? They are Nibral.

Mild solution of muriatic acid will get rid of organic material, including your skin...... so be careful.

A little acid in a tub of water. Dip, scrub. Wear eye protection and rubber gloves.

I usually use 120 grit sand paper by hand.

I used my Fein Multitool with 120 grit paper for the props and struts.. for the shafts I used a long piece of sandpaper belt wrapped half way around them, then holding one end in each hand I just ran the paper back and forth.. a little dusty, but not a lot of work.

Few lessons i learned the hard way cleaning concrete with muriatic.

Muriatic Acid acts on the lime in concrete so be careful on concrete and i think it will destroy some rubber.

Burn your lungs and take your breath away i all ways wear a good respirator and it's a good idea to wear full eye protection to keep the gas vapors out.

Never use bleach with muriatic you could create a deadly chlorine gas cloud.

Found that out trying to clean up mould on a concrete porch years ago and added bleach about made me pass out.

As stated above dilute the muriatic but it will slow the process hence my price paid in flesh and i if i remember correctly it's not nice to chrome.

Ever have your breath taken away by sulfur in a match muriatic is like that.

I believe I used a barnacle cleaner I picked up at west marine. Unfortunately the botle cracked and I had to transfer it to a plastic jar. I did not keep the name. But check west marine for barnacle cleaner. It is an acid also.

Tony that product may have been on and off possibly, a popular cleaner at boat yards and marine stores.
